Making me download swf files

How can I get .swf files to launch immediately in Explorer running Flash? They launch immediately in Chrome running Flash. With Explorer, the whole file has to download first, and that can take hours.

Security settings does not allow me to open the .swf file in Windows Media Player. Can i make Media Player open swf files instead of running them in Internet Explorer. It may be worth a try to download and install the freeware VLC Media playerit will play just about anything.
